Wesley Hamilton named Tomahawk Basketball Tournament All Star
Wesley Hamilton’s outstanding performance at the 59th Tomahawk Basketball Tournament in North Bay earned him the honour of being named 2016 1st Team All Star. Hamilton led his team all weekend in every category including 3pt shooting an average of just over 15 PTS per game. His total average was 23.8 PPG.
“That kid is a baller. There’s no stopping him. He’s like the Energizer Bunny”, said one of the event organizers.
Most notably, Wesley Hamilton played 36 of 36 minutes in each of the three elimination games played on Saturday, while playing 168 minutes of a possible 180 minutes during the two-day event.
Despite the terrific team effort by the Keswick High School team, they fell short by 2 PTS in the final game against Notre Dame. Although the team was extremely disappointed with the loss, Coach Francis Lundrigan said that the men had nothing to be ashamed of. He was very pleased with their performance and the way the team is coming together this year.
