Solid performance earns KHS game 3 victory

Wesley HamiltonKeswick High School Junior Men delivered a solid team performance against Timmins High School in game 3 of the 59th Tomahawk Basketball Tournament in North Bay, Ontario.

Facing elimination, the starting line from Keswick entered the game focused on one thing according to Power Forward, Kemron Bell. “We need to get the W. Whatever it takes. We’ve gotta’ do it.”

And that’s what they did. KHS was led by another solid 36 minute, end-to-end performance by Wesley Hamilton (PG) who scored 27 PTS with 10 AST, 4 STLS and 5 RB. “We needed to get things done and with two of our key players fouling out, I needed to step up my game”, said Hamilton.

Timmins High School coach commented that Hamilton really set the pace of the game. “No matter how hard we tried to shut him down, he either found a way to move the ball to an open player or drive past our defence and set himself up for a great finish. He never stopped.”

With this victory completed, Keswick High School will face the men from Fellowes in their Semi Final Elimination game today at 3:30.
